Smriti, KVGDC Alumni Association was inaugurated on 21st Dec 2001,by Sri Kurunji Venkataramana Gowda with first President being Dr Krishna Prasada L and Dr JayaprasadAnekar as Secretary.

Smriti, KVGDC Alumni Association, provides the platform for meeting and interacting of the alumni with their alma mater on a regular basis and provides an opportunity for alumni to re-connect with batch mates and stay abreast with the activities of the Institute. In its endeavour to reinforce relations with the alumni, the Institute manages a host of activities to enhance this interaction.

Objectives

To create and maintain continuous communication between the Institute, past and present students
To pursue and sustain excellence in education through interaction between the alumni, faculty and students
To keep a roaster of all alumni of KVG Dental College and their permanent data
To guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their course for the future endorse
To provide a forum for the alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues and coordinating reunion activities of the alumni
To recognize and felicitate the teachers and prominent members of the society for the service they have rendered
To support the parent institution in all the aspects

Appreciating the contributions made by the Alumni members for enhancing the prestige of the Institution.Conducting alumni activities each year like guest lecture, workshops, CDE, teacher’s day etc.

It has conducted various CDE programs in the institutionand celebrated teacher’s day and felicitated esteemed senior faculties. It has also been working for social welfare by organizing blood donation camps. It has been providing financial aid for the development of the institution and students as well. It has been active in protecting our environment by conducting programs like Vanamahotsava and encouraging public to plant more trees. It also hasbeenmotivating the youths for their overall development and that of the society by conducting programs on account of Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi which is celebrated as National Youth Day.
